At Spicer & Co, we are proud to support the local community. Here are some of the charities we are involved with:

Level Trust
We sit on the Board of Trustees of a Luton based charity, Level Trust. Level Trust exists to remove the barriers that poverty brings to a child’s education. The charity works in partnership with schools and families to ensure that every child has what they need to do their very best at school. We provide financial and accounting advice voluntarily to Level Trust. Visit their website to find out more information

Spicer & Co have supported Level Trust for years. Not from the sidelines, but in the most active and meaningful ways possible. They champion the work of Level Trust wherever possible, take part in fundraising events we organise and run their own hugely successful fundraising events for us. Suzanne Spicer is a committed trustee for the charity, taking her role extremely seriously and keeping a keen eye on the security and professionalism of the organisation, and Steve Spicer is constantly finding new ways to raise our profile. On its own, this support is incredible. However, Spicer & Co also manage Level Trusts accounting and payroll at no cost. They produce monthly reports for us on our financial position, have got us set up on Xero, run our payroll, help us with our end of year accounts, help us understand requirements from HMRC and even produce financial forecasts for us to help us when we’re putting together funding applications. This sort of support is gold dust to a charity. What’s more, their support isn’t just limited to one or two members of staff – the whole team is very quick and more than happy to help. It’s absolutely no exaggeration to say that without Spicer & Co, Level Trust wouldn’t have got to where it is today.

Jane Malcom, CEO

Mary Seacole Housing Association
The Association provides value for money, quality accommodation within a structured and supportive environment for young single homeless people, and women with complex needs between the ages of 16-65. We encourage clients to engage in training courses, and volunteering, provide day time activities in the form of life skills. The Association enables young people and women to develop the skills they need to move from a state of dependence to that of independence.

The Dunstable and Houghton Regis Mayor Charities
We support the local mayor charities, which are chosen by the appointed mayor each year. We attend events that are hosted by the mayor for their chosen charities.

Long Live Dunstable (Don’t Let Dunstable Die)
We are supporting our home town, by volunteering our services to Long Live Dunstable. This newly formed charity aims to restore Dunstable to the market town it once was. It is run by a small group of local people, please visit their website to find out more information

We are passionate about supporting Keech Hospice Care.

Keech are one of only a few hospices in the country caring for both adults and children. They provide free, specialist care for adults in Luton and south Bedfordshire, and children from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes, who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

The hospice is based in Dunstable and is a safe, supportive and caring place for people with life limiting illnesses and their families.
